Chowder is a thick and creamy soup using seafood or vegetables, milk or cream, and potatoes. The dish originated in the Eastern coastal regions of North America, particularly in New England. Rockfish chowder is particularly popular in the Chesapeake Bay region.  Serve hot or cold. Garnish with herbs or crackers. It is a hearty dish that is perfect for a cold day or as a filling meal.
