You can easily recreate this delicious dish at home with just a few simple ingredients and a bit of frying know-how. So let’s get started!
How to cook single-fried oysters?
To cook single-fried oysters, you will need oysters, flour, egg, milk (or water), bread crumbs (optional), and vegetable oil. Heat the oil in a pot or fryer until it reaches 350-375℉. Dip each oyster in flour, egg, and bread crumbs (if using). Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve hot with dipping sauces or side dishes.
For pan-fried oysters, I use a cast iron skillet. For the best results, I prefer to use a mini-fryer or FryDaddy. The deeper oil gives the oysters a better overall appearance.
